"I am extremely grateful to Martin McCaul and his team for the excellent work they carried out on our ambitious home extension.From the word go Martin helped with the design and planning of the new build. Early quotations were drafted based on a thorough analysis and detailed discussion of what would be required. All our questions were answered patiently and thoroughly, and all our wishes were included particularly Sarah's, my wife, except where Martin explained any impracticalities often things we hadn't thought of but he knew from experience and so offered alternative suggestions.
I was also given the opportunity to examine recent builds the company had worked on including small new build housing estates, extensions and redevelopments.Our building work was completed in 12 weeks 8211 a tremendous undertaking, especially considering we with 6 children were still living in the property at the time. Martin himself made daily site visits and ensured the 'jigsaw' of getting the right people there at the appropriate time was made plumbers, electricians, plasterers, joiners, decorators, building inspectors etc.
Martin's staff were always helpful, approachable, busy and friendly and we developed excellent relationships with them all it was sad to see them go at the end.
Comprehensive accounts were rendered at intervals which proved uncannily accurate in relation to the original estimates and also broke down exactly where savings had been made or a little excess had been spent.In all the work comprised a two storey side extension Garage and Master Bedroom ensuite, rear extensions to enlarge kitchen and create a vaulted roof Morning Room, existing garage conversion to create a selfcontained Annexe and redevelopment of the Gardens including building a boundary wall, laying new lawn and patio area pathways. We went from 4 to 7 bedrooms and from 3 to 5 bathrooms. In addition the whole property was redecorated, new Kitchen Installed and new flooring put down throughout.Pictures speak more than words with respect to the excellence of the work carried out. Initially we had taken estimates from 4 other builders and none had offered the outstanding initial attention to detail that we had from Martin. Cost wise McCaul's hadn't come in as the cheapest but definitely don't let that put you off. I can't help but feel that you get what you pay for in this game and I believe McCaul's will offer anyone an admirable service, superb building quality at a reasonable and fair price. I don't hesitate in recommending this Company to you whatever you are contemplating and you will be guaranteed personal, quality and friendly service."
